Trena Bolden Fields is an actor, writer, life/career coach, radio show host and Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Paid Actor Magazine. She has a continuing twenty year career as a model and actor.

Trena began her acting career as a puppeteer with In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre while still a sophomore in college. Following this work, she went on to perform in the ensemble of Black Nativity with Penumbra Theatre Company.


Her acting credits include: Mama in A Raisin In the Sun at The Market Theatre in Johannesburg, Cheryl in A Time to Kill at Arena Stage Washington, D.C., Ruby in Seven Guitars at Penumbra Theatre, Blonde Buppie in No Distance Between Us at Illusion Theater, Cordelia in King Lear at Cromulent Shakespeare Company, and Ole Rit in Dreaming Harriet Tubman at Stages Theatre Company. She has also acted in commercials, industrials, feature and independent film.


Trena Bolden Fields’ one woman show, Daring to Think, Move and Speak, features key leaders and supporters of the Civil Rights Movement. This show continues to educate people about five women who gave themselves to help create equality for all while changing our country and our world.

She received her undergraduate degree in theatre arts and mass communication from Augsburg College and a master's degree in educational psychology, counseling and student personnel psychology from the University of Minnesota. Trena received her life coaching certification from the Adler Graduate School and is completed an MFA in Creative Writing at Augsburg College. Trena is also a member of Actor’s Equity and SAG-AFTRA.
